<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve printing quality by a method wherein surface treatment is applied with surface treating agent to low whiteness printing paper such as newsprint paper and, at the same time, no muddiness develops in printing ink due to the surface treating agent on the printing method by an offset press and an offset press. <P>SOLUTION: The surface treating agent such as a low whiteness improver or the like is supplied to the printing surface of printing paper.
