<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent unintended interference of light from being caused between two-dimensional images put one over the other when a solid image is displayed on a plurality of display surfaces by displaying the two-dimensional images respectively. <P>SOLUTION: The two-dimensional images 3 and 4 of the same display object are displayed with prescribed lightness on display surfaces 1 and 2 at different depth positions when viewed from an observer side, so that the observer can observe a stereoscopic solid image 5 of the display object.
