PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear sub-frame of an automobile capable of improving the traveling stability of a vehicle by restraining excessive torsion or distortion. SOLUTION: This rear sub-frame 1 is constituted into an approximate rectangular lattice form comprising a front lateral member 3 and a rear lateral member 4 separated in a forward and backward direction of a vehicle and extending in a vehicle width direction, and a pair of an upper vertical member 5 and a lower vertical member 6 separated in the vehicle width direction, extending in the forward and backward direction of the vehicle, and connecting the front lateral member 3 and the rear lateral member 4. The lower vertical member 6 and a vicinity on the rear side of the front lateral member 3 are connected with each other and reinforced by a rear end cross member 7B of a first reinforcing member 7 extending in a forward direction of the vehicle, and the rear lateral member 4 is reinforced by a second reinforcing member 8 comprising a reinforcing rod 8a connected with rear struts 4b, 4c on both ends, and a pair of right and left reinforcing plates 8b connecting both ends of the reinforcing rod 8a with the rear end of the lower vertical member 6.
