PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a folding apparatus by which a strip-like metal body is folded with high accuracy and a high-quality product is formed. SOLUTION: This folding apparatus is provided with an inward fixed die 1 having a slit 5 through which the strip-like metal body 4 to be worked and an outward movable die 2 which is externally fit to the inward fixed die 1 and has a pair of edges 2a, 2b for forming a folding line opposed at a prescribed interval in the peripheral direction and forms the folding line 45 by pressing the edges 2a 2b to the strip-like metal body 4 which is projected through the slit 5 by turning of the outward movable die 2 around the axis. An adjusting means M is provided to incline the edges 2a, 2b at a prescribed angle to the axis by adjusting the dimension of at least one end part in the longitudinal direction of the clearance between the opposed edges 2a, 2b of the outward movable die 2.
