The seat has a back rest with which a seat frame (8) is connected to a body of a vehicle via a seat rail (4). The back rest is connected with the seat frame via an upper backrest frame and a lower backrest frame by fixing elements (6) i.e. screws. A flexible damping element (5) is provided within an area of the fixing elements of the seat frame and/or the back rest for isolating the vibrations of the body from the vehicle seat. The damping element is a cylinder made of flexible material and comprises a central borehole (9) and a circular groove (10).
