METHOD FOR EXTRACTING FUNCTIONAL COMPONENT DERIVED FROM BROWN ALGAE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for extracting functional components derived from brown algae, which solves problems in a conventional method for extracting functional components derived from brown algae and efficiently extracts functional components derived from brown algae being useful components contained in brown algae, further in a greatly shortened time.

SOLUTION: The method for extracting functional components derived from brown algae includes extracting brown algae with a supercritical fluid. Preferably the functional components derived from brown algae are fucoxanthin and fucosterol.
