摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit and receive extra traffic without interruption when switching from an act path to a standby path while transmitting and receiving the extra traffic between optional nodes. <P>SOLUTION: A path is prepared which circulates an optical signal subjected to wavelength multiplexing between a plurality of node devices. A node device used as a loopback endpoint of the path is provided with: wavelength selection branching means 1 to 16 which branch desired wavelength optical signals from the optical signal subjected to wavelength multiplexing for transmission on the path; wavelength conversion output means 21 to 31 which convert the wavelengths of the optical signals branched from the wavelength selection branching means 1 to 16 to desired wavelengths for output to clients; and wavelength selection inserting means which insert the optical signals transmitted from the clients and converted to the desired wavelengths by the wavelength conversion output means to optical signals subjected to wavelength multiplexing for transmission on the path. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
