摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for vehicles that makes it possible to prevent degradation in charging efficiency when a power storage device mounted in a vehicle is charged from a power supply external to the vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A rectifying circuit 51 rectifies alternating-current power from a commercial power supply 90 and outputs it to between nodes ND1, ND2. A step-up converter 12B includes: IGBT elements Q1B, Q2B connected in series between the node ND1 and a ground node; and a reactor L1B connected between the point of junction between the IGBT elements Q1B, Q2B and the node ND1 and converts voltage VLB into voltage VH. A step-up converter 12A converts voltage VH into voltage VLA. A controller 30 controls the switching operation of the IGBT elements Q1B, Q2B and the step-up converter 12A and controls a selection unit (connecting portions 40A, 40B, system main relays SMRG, SR1G) to charge a battery selected from batteries BA, BB. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
