摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmitting device having small play in the rotating direction, high reliability during idle rotation and a large torque capacity. <P>SOLUTION: An axially movable control retainer 19A and a rotatable rotation retainer 19B are built in between an outer ring 11 having a cylindrical surface on the inner periphery, and an inner ring 12 having a cam surface on the outer periphery. A pair of rollers 26 and a coil spring 27 for separating the rollers, are built in a pocket between pillar parts of the respective retainers. A torque cam 30 is provided between flanges 20, 22 of the control retainer and rotation retainer. An armature 41 is connected to the pillar part of the control retainer, and an electromagnet 43 is placed to face a rotor 42 axially facing the armature. A current is carried to the electromagnet to move the control retainer to the rotor side, and the control retainer and the rotation retainer are relatively rotated by the torque cam to place the rollers in a disengaged state. The current to the electromagnet is cut off to separate the control retainer from the rotor by a separation spring 44, and both retainers are relatively rotated by the coil spring to place the rollers in an engaged state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
