PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air sheet feeder to be driven by an air suction drive source of a DC fan even when the suction belt pitch is reduced, or the diameter of a drive (driven) roller is reduced in order to save the space of the sheet feeder and to reduce the size of the sheet feeder, and a printer having the same. SOLUTION: The sheet feeder has a sirocco fan 15a, a suction relay pipe 13 is communicated with and connected to a suction chamber 12 on both sides of the paper sheet width direction Y. The sirocco fan 15a has a suction unit 10A arranged above and in a vicinity of a suction belt 11. The sheet feeder has a front side discharge unit 30 comprising a pair of side discharge chambers 42 for blowing air a to both side end faces of a paper sheet bundle 2, a front discharge chamber 20 for blowing air a to a fore end face of the paper sheet bundle 2, a front discharge relay pipe 24, a side discharge relay pipe 43, a front side discharge drive source chamber 44, and a single sirocco fan 25 communicated with and connected to the front side discharge drive source chamber 44.
