PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a method for releasing a two-step clip which can be easily returned to an initial state from a state of being removed. SOLUTION: The structure for releasing a two-step clip comprising a grommet 20 and a pin 30 is provided with a hollow cylindrical releasing-jig 13. In a state of a removal where claws 25 remain to be engaged with a first small-diameter part 31, the pin 30 is pushed in the releasing jig. The claws 25 of the shank 23 are expanded by the releasing-jig to the radially outside to retract from the first small-diameter part 31 of the pin 30, and are returned from the first small-diameter part 31, through the large-diameter part 32 to the initial state where the claws 25 are positioned under the large-diameter part 32.
