PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor facing material for adjusting width, which has a shared connecting portion capable of imparting a firmly-connected state to either of male and female connecting portions of a unit floor facing material, and which prevents the shaped connecting portion from being bulky during conveyance etc., and which hardly causes the risk of being broken. SOLUTION: The shared connecting portion, which is provided along a side edge of a floor facing material body portion, has a structure which can be engaged with either of the male and female connecting portions of the unit floor facing material. In the unit floor facing material, the male connecting portion is provided at one side edge, and the female connecting portion in a shape capable of being connected to the male connecting portion is provided at a side edge different from the above side edge. The shared connecting portion is equipped with two arm portions which are arranged with an inner width almost equal to the maximum width of the female connecting portion of the unit floor facing material and between which the female connecting portion of the unit floor facing materials to be connected are inserted, and a male-connecting portion fitting portion which is connected to the two arm portions, which is provided in such a manner as to be elongated to the outside from an outer edge of the floor-facing-material body portion and which has a hole or notch allowing the fitting of the male connecting portion of the unit floor facing material to be connected.
