<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a ceramic layer of a pump plunger hard to be peeled off. <P>SOLUTION: A plunger 14 is composed of a first member 141 made of metal and a second member 142 made of sintered ceramic and disposed on an outer circumferential side of the first member 141. It is possible to make a thickness of the second member 142 sufficiently large because the second member 142 is made of sintered ceramic. Therefore, an interface between the first member 141 and the second member 142 becomes apart from an outer circumferential surface of the plunger 14.
