PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high-sensitivity and high-speed AGC operation in a simple configuration without using complicated processing. SOLUTION: At a reception level detection unit 15, reception levels of outputs from an A/D unit 12 are accumulated and an AGC control unit 16 judges whether or not a reception level cumulative value exceeds a first reference level at time intervals obtained by dividing one symbol term of a reception signal into a plurality of terms, and performs gain control of an AGC amplifier unit 11, wherein a gain change is performed so that a gain is maximum in an initial state and the gain is decreased by an adjustment value of the number of steps corresponding to the time until exceeding the first reference level at a point of time when the reception level cumulative value exceeds the first reference level.
