PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expansion valve capable of simplifying a manufacturing process in regard to an expansion valve used in a vapor compression type refrigerating cycle. SOLUTION: The expansion valve adjusts an opening of a valve port 11a on the basis of a temperature of a fluid passing through a first passage 101, and is composed to include: a valve element 17 opening and closing the valve port 11a; a through-hole 19 piercing a gap between a first passage 101 and a second passage 102; an operation rod 18 inserted through the through-hole 19 so as to freely reciprocate and operating the valve element 17; an opening 14 provided in a position facing the through-hole 19 from the first passage 101; a thermosensitive driving part 30 attached to the opening 14 and driving the operation rod 18 on the basis of a temperature of fluid communicating through the first passage 101; a vibration control member 24 suppressing vibration of the operation rod 18; an O-ring 23 closely contacting an outer circumference face of the operation rod 18 and an inner circumference face of the through-hole 19; and a housing part 20 annularly formed in a periphery of the operation rod 18 by expanding a diameter of an opening end of a first passage 101 side of the through-hole 19 and housing the vibration isolation member 24 and the O-ring 23.
