PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which has excellent heat resistance, breaking strength, and workability, when produced, and has high storage elastic modulus (G'), and small loss tangent (tanδ). SOLUTION: Provided is the rubber composition comprising 100 pts.mass of a rubber component (A-1) which has a specific weight-average mol.wt. and a specific composition, and 1 to 60 pts.mass of a low mol.wt. conjugated dienic polymer (B-1) which has a polystyrene-converted weight-average mol.wt. of 10,000 to 200,000 measured by gel permeation chromatography, when isolated according to the conventional method, before reacting a polymerization-active terminal with a polymerization terminator or modifier, has a vinyl bond content of≥40% in a conjugated diene compound portion, and has at least one functional group, wherein the rubber component (A-1) contains a natural rubber and/or polyisoprene rubber, and the rate of aromatic vinyl compound units per the total monomer units constituting the low mol.wt. conjugated dienic polymer (B-1) is <5 mass%.
