PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive back plate attaching method for a storage box, which prevents the storage box from being a big package even when it is large sized, is advantageous in terms of packaging workability, a packaging material cost, a packaging labor cost, a transportation cost, a small transportation cost, or the like, reduces packing and cushions for damage prevention, is relatively safe even against damages during transportation, is excellent in handling workability, assembly workability and strength durability as well on an execution spot, and prevents a gap from being caused with a wall surface even when mounted on a wall. SOLUTION: A back plate is divided into plural in a prescribed size, divided end faces abut on each other, an adhesive tape is stuck from the back surface, and they are folded to be compact. They are packaged and transported in the state, the division back plates are spread on the execution work, and the back plate is attached and fixed with nails or the like to the back surface side of the storage box with a decorated surface on the inner side and the adhesive tape side on the back surface outer part. Further, from the top of the adhesive tape of the division end face of the back plate, a reinforcing plate is attached and fixed along the division end face.
