The circuit has transmission element (100) that divides in-phase input signal (I) and quadrature phase input signal (Q) into output signals at output ends (101,102,103). The exponent signal (E) with value of base 2 exponent and exponent-removed in-phase signal (I') and exponent-removed quadrature phase signal (Q'), are generated. The summands (A1-A4) are determined by evaluation logic (200) by using preset expression with exponent-removed signals. The amplitude (A) of signals is determined by summator (300) which calculates sum of summands. An independent claim is included for method for receiving amplitude shift keying signal.
