A display device is provided to compensate for a fault of the horizontal line of liquid crystal cells by supplying the modulated gate control signal to the gate driver. The display device comprises the display panel(110), the gate driver(120), and data driver(130) and timing controller(150). The display panel has liquid crystal cell(Clc) between the gate line(GL1 to GLn) and the dataline(DL1 to DLm). The gate driver operates gate lines. The data driver operates datalines. The timing controller controls the gate driver and data driver. The unit for correcting horizontal line badness produces the modulated gate control signal(MGOE). The modulated gate control signal corrects the luminance of the liquid crystal cells.
