Anionic polymerisation of lactams using special activators

System comprises: at least one catalyst for the anionic polymerization of lactam; and at least one activator for the anionic polymerization of lactam, where the activator is cyclic isocyanate and/or allophanate. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for the preparation of cast polyamides by anionic polymerization of lactam using at least one cyclic isocyanate, or at least one allophanate; and (2) the polyamide obtained by the process.
