SYNTHESIS OF LIFEPO4 CATHODE MATERIAL FOR LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY USING SOL-GEL METHOD

摘要

A preparation method of LiFePO4 cathode material for lithium secondary battery is provided to improve lithium conductivity of powder by controlling the particle size and battery tab density by not performing carbon coating. A preparation method of LiFePO4 cathode material for lithium secondary battery comprises the steps of: mixing an aqueous metal salt solution and a chelating agent, wherein the aqueous metal salt solution is prepared by dissolving lithium, acetates of iron, and phosphate in alcohol; heating the mixture at 50~90 ‹C to form a chelate/metal sol; heating the sol to form a gel precursor; and calcining the gel precursor powder.
