<p>The method involves supplying air to a set of openings in an air cushion table (100) by an air supply device, where a variable characterizing capacity of the air supply device depends on an actual operating parameter i.e. pressure, of the cushion table. The capacity of the air supply device is influenced by a closed controlled system. A magnitude ratio is formed from the actual operating parameter and a reference variable that characterizes a defined reference-operating condition, where a correlation between the actual operating parameter and the variable is linear. An independent claim is also included for a device for dividing a large-sized plate-shaped workpiece, including an air supply device and a control device.</p> |
