A manufacturing method of a high rate platinum supported catalyst is provided to decrease cost, and to increase efficiency of the whole processes by preventing loss of platinum by adjusting reaction gas and pH at the same time in a polyol process. A manufacturing method of a high rate platinum supported catalyst includes the following steps of: mixing an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal, a platinum precursor and a carbon carrier in a solvent; producing mixture slurry; cooling the mixture slurry in room temperature; manufacturing the slurry in which a platinum precursor is reduced; and producing the high rate platinum supported catalyst by washing and drying the slurry. A mixing step is performed in a pH 12 ~ 14 range. The solvent is an alkylene glycol-based solvent of a carbon number 2 ~ 8 range. |
