摘要 A pressure detection apparatus and method of a compressed natural gas engine are provided to compensate the amount of injected gas rapidly by checking the gas pressure states at the front and rear ends of the regulator at the same time, thereby optimizing the air/fuel ratio. A pressure detection apparatus of a compressed natural gas engine comprises a first sensor(100), a second sensor(300), and a controller(500). The first sensor is installed on a fuel supply pipe(30) located between a fuel tank(10) and a regulator(50). The first sensor detects the pressure of compressed natural gas inputted to a regulator. The fuel tank stores the compressed natural gas. The regulator drops the fuel feed pressure to the necessary pressure in the engine. The second sensor is installed on a fuel rail which receives the decompressed fuel from the regulator and supplies it to the engine cylinder, and detects the pressure of the compressed natural gas which is decompressed by the regulator. The controller compares the pressures according to each sensing signal outputted from the first sensor and the second sensor with a reference value, and outputs control signal according to the comparison result.
