A timer for a gas range is provided to use a gas range continually in case the timer breaks down by installing a bypass pipe to be parallel to the timer. A timer for a gas range comprises a timer(30), a bypass pipe(40) and a sub-valve(50). The timer is installed between a gas range(60) and a main valve(20) controlling the gas supply of the gas range. The timer opens the flow path in case the set operating time passes. The bypass pipe is installed in order to connect the front end and the rear end of the timer. The bypass pipe provides the path of the gas in the malfunction of the timer. The sub-valve is installed at one side of the bypass pipe and opens and closes the flow path of the bypass pipe.
