Measuring method, in particular for resistance temperature sensor

The method involves guiding measurement current to a measuring resistor and an output line pair with two conductors. Measured values are corrected with determined output resistances of the line pair. The determined output resistances are derived from measurement evaluation during a measuring process. The output resistances for correction are taken as a basis on one of the conductors of the line pair relevant to failure/contact problems. A tolerance range is preselected for the corrected values. The measuring process is discontinued with an error message during exceeding the tolerance range.
