An electric light panel system, a method for transmitting picture quality control information and the method for controlling picture quality using image data including picture quality control information are provided to allow a simple installation and layout by transmitting an image control data instead of a image data of a specific area to a display panel through a DVI link. A control PC(10) inputs an image quality data instead of image data of a specific area and outputs the image data including the image quality control data through a DVI link. A display panel controller(30) extracts the image quality controlling data from an image frame data received from the control PC. The display panel controller compensates image data based on the extracted image quality control data.
