<p>A method of manufacturing a winding of a rotary electric machine includes steps of pressing a portion (331g, 332g) of a conductor segment in a predetermined direction to reduce its dimension in the direction, inserting the conductor segment into a slot (35) of a stator core (32), bending the conductor segments and joining ends (331d, 331e, 332d, 332e) of the conductor segments. In the pressing step, the conductor segment is pressed with a punch (102) in a condition that it is held in a die (100, 110) that has curved inside corner portions (100a, 110a) to restrict deformation of corners (331h, 332h) of the pressed portion (331g, 332g). <IMAGE></p> |
