An anthracene derivative is provided to ensure efficiency increase, driving voltage lowering, and stability increase of an organic electronic device when an organic layer of the organic electronic device is formed. An anthracene derivative has a structure represented by chemical formula 1. A method for manufacturing the anthracene derivative comprises a step for reacting a halide aryl compound and a boron compound of which position 9 is substituted with an aryl group in the presence of a palladium catalyst. The organic electronic device comprises a first electrode, a second electrode, and an organic layer arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode.
