The present invention relates to a method and an arrangement for a mobile telecommunication network for selecting an antenna mode to be used for communication between a radio network and a mobile terminal operating in discontinuous reception mode. The arrangement comprises a determiner configured to determine a mode list comprising antenna modes both supported by the radio network and the mobile terminal, associating means configured to associate each antenna mode in the mode list with a degree of a pre-defined performance measure, retrieving means configured to retrieve information indicating the pre-defined performance measure for the mobile terminal, and a selector configured to select an antenna mode from the mode list at least based on the retrieved information. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
