A telescope type electric pole is provided to support the load with an electric facility installed on a steel pipe member and the electric pole. A telescope type electric pole comprises a plurality of the steel pipe members(10,20,30,40) and a connecting member(50). The steel pipe members are overlapped to the multiple. The connecting member is extended through the top part of the steel pipe members located at the outside when the steel pipe members located at the inside is drawn out. The connecting member supports the steel pipe member located in the inside. An U-shaped barrier grooves(21,31,41) are formed on the top part of the steel pipe member. The U-shaped barrier groove prevents the steel pipe member from turning right and left.
