The spacer (10) has a ring's face that is closed by a closure unit for assuring a closing function to close a location of a loudspeaker (40) in a motor vehicle. The closure unit is removed as desired for placing and supporting the loudspeaker in the location. Incipient fractures are formed in the thickness of the closure unit. The ring and the closure unit are formed as a single piece. Clamps (15-17) fix the spacer on the vehicle. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a loudspeaker on a spacer.
