The backrest (1) has an outer layer (6) constituted of a flexible thermoplastic film including holes with a diameter. A rigid intermediate layer (5) is made of closed cell thermoplastic foam, and is in vertical direction when the backrest is worn by a user. The intermediate layer has holes with a diameter larger than the former diameter, where the number of holes in the intermediate layer is less than the number of holes in the outer layer. An inner layer is made of a material e.g. open cell foam, permeable to water vapor and air, and covered with a three-dimensional knit fabric.
