A curve design system and a curve design method are provided to produce the similar curve mixed properly with the characteristics of the given sample curve. A user input member(100) supports the user's input. A lower curve calculating member(200) calculates a lower curve and a vector field as 'n-1'th bezier curve corresponding to the user's input. A curve growth calculating member(300) calculates a growth curve by means of the lower curve. A curve mixing calculating member(400) designs the new curve by mixing the curve inputted through the user input member, the lower curve and the growth curve. An output member(500) performs the output of the curve mixing calculating member. The data inputted to the user input member are two bezier curves, the lowest order lower curve, growth methods by curves, control factors by each growth method, extrapolation constant beta value, growth period and growth distance and the like. |
