A plant disease control composition which contains (RS)-N-[2-(1,3-dimethylbutyl)thiophen-3-yl]-1-methyl-3-trifluoro-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide (common name: penthiopyrad) and at least one other fungicidal compound as the active ingredients; and a method for the prevention of plant diseases which is characterized by applying the composition to plant seed or soil. The invention provides a plant disease control composition which can exert preventive effects against plural pathogenic fungi of various crops as well as against currently actual resistant fungi when applied to plant seed or soil; and a method for the prevention of plant diseases. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
