The piston has a circular shaped bowl (6) at its front part and an oval shaped section i.e. flame surface. The bowl includes a truncated cone shaped central pilot point (9) raising from interior of a middle part of the bowl towards a cylinder head (8). The pilot point has a round apex, and extends in the direction of bottom of the bowl through an inclined side (10) and from the bottom through a side wall (11). The wall has a concave boss (11') at its lower base and joins a horizontal surface of the front part of the piston. An independent claim is also included for an engine block and cylinder head assembly, comprising an air intake opening.
