The device has a flexible occulting element e.g. curtain (1), comprising magnetic coupling units constituted of permanent magnets, and supports (3, 4) incorporating to the magnetic coupling units. The supports are guided along rolling and unrolling movements (E, D) of the occulting element. The magnetic coupling units for the occulting element and the supports are arranged to induce magnetic coupling forces resulting in cohesion of the occulting element with the supports, during unrolling movement of the occulting element.
