<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that can increase the rate of application of software updates by prompting users to download software updates positively. <P>SOLUTION: A delivery apparatus 1 is configured to deliver computer software updates via the Internet 10 to a PC 2 connected via the Internet 10. An authentication part 11 authenticates the user of the PC 2 according to information received from the PC 2 via the Internet 10. In response to a delivery request from the user authenticated as the authorized user by the authentication part 11, a delivery part 12 delivers a software update to the PC 2 of the user. A refund notification part 15 sends information on the software update delivery to the computer.
