PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brazed plate type heat exchanger composable by two types of heat transfer plates, having a simple configuration, easy handling, easy mass productivity, and superior durability and economy, having different passage resistance and different flow velocities of fluid in a first passage and a second passage, hardly causing drift of the fluid, not causing un-flowing, and capable of further improving heat exchange efficiency and stabilizing heat exchange. SOLUTION: A first heat transfer plate A and a second heat transfer plate B are formed, with different shapes, arrangement positions, sizes, or the like of grooves 5, pluralities of the first heat transfer plates A and the second heat transfer plates B are alternately joined in overlapped states, a meandering first passage X is composed in a gap formed when the first heat transfer plate A is overlapped on the second heat transfer plate B, a meandering second passage Y is composed in a gap formed when the second heat transfer plate B is overlapped on the first heat transfer plate A, and in the first passage X and the second passage Y, their flow velocities are differentiated by varying their passage cross sectional areas and passage resistance.
