PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assembling a drive force transmission device which eliminates the need for driving work of a shim. SOLUTION: The method comprises: disposing a connection hollow shaft 33 on a case body 69 with taper roller bearings 119 and 121, the shim 123 and a spacer 124, and the shim 125, the spacer 126 and a pressurization application tool 145; engaging to dispose the taper roller bearings 119 and 121 on one side of a divided part of bearing attachment hole parts 91 and 93; and then engaging to dispose the taper roller bearings 119 and 121 on the other side of the divided part of the bearing attachment hole parts 91 and 93 so as to interpose the abutting parts 165 and 167 of the pressurization application tool 145 by a joint face 67 of the case body 69 and a case cover 71 by opposing the case cover 71 to the case body 69.
