PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jacking pipe having a simple configuration, reduced in manufacturing costs and preventing the ground in the surroundings from being adversely affected, and used in a jacking method, and also to provide a tunnel construction method by use of this jacking pipe. SOLUTION: This jacking pipe 10 is composed of; a main body pipe body 1; and a preceding jacking pipe body 2 protruding from a front face 11 in the direction of jacking of the main body pipe body 1 and having a relatively smaller cross section than that of the main body pipe body 1.
