A mounting bracket for mounting a reversing camera to the s rear of a vehicle to provide a view at the rear of a vehicle when reversing. The mounting bracket has a mounting portion to which the reversing camera is attached and at least one securing portion for attaching the bracket to the rear of the vehicle using the existing 10 attachment points for the license plate, registration plate or similar vehicle identification element. The mounting portion is arranged to extend from the securing portion so that when the reversing camera is attached to the vehicle using the mounting portion, the camera does 15 not obscure the license plate and there is no need to form additional attachment points in the rear bodywork of the vehicle as the securing portion is attached to the license plate to use the existing attachment points. The advantages of the mounting bracket are ease of 20 installation, there is reduced risk of rust and corrosion and the camera is mounted over the edge of the license plate so as not to obscure it.
