<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily convey dust removed from an air filter to a prescribed position. <P>SOLUTION: This indoor unit for an air conditioner includes a dust removing means 50 for removing dust on the air filter 30, and a dust storage container 60 for storing the removed dust. A dust collecting box 90 having a cubic capacity larger than the dust storage container 60 is connected to the dust storage container 60 by a conveying duct 81. A conveying fan 82 for conveying the dust from the dust storage container 60 to the dust collecting box 90 by its suction effect is connected to the dust collecting box 90.
