<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video camera by which the behavior of an object is photographed and it can be confirmed by an external apparatus through networks. <P>SOLUTION: A DVC deck 22 reproduces first image signals recorded on a recording medium. The section from an optics system 11 to a signal processing circuit 14 takes images of an object as second images and output them while the first image signals are being displayed on a display 24. A camera/JPEG encoder 17 produces composite image signals by composing the first image signals and the second image signals.
