<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner having an indoor unit capable of allowing human body detecting sensors to effectively function in the entire detection area regardless of an installation position of the indoor unit in a room, and having a sufficient field of view range. <P>SOLUTION: The indoor unit includes a sensor rotating mechanism for integrally rotating the plurality of human body detecting sensors, and further includes the first setting for dividing an area to be air-conditioned into a plurality of areas in the width direction of the indoor unit by the plurality of human body detecting sensors, and the second setting for dividing the area to be air-conditioned into the plurality of areas in the distance direction from the indoor unit by the plurality of human body detecting sensors. The indoor unit is switched to either of the first setting and the second setting by the sensor rotating mechanism according to the shape of the room where the indoor unit is installed to control horizontal blades disposed on a blowing opening of the indoor unit for divisionally blowing the blown-off air right and left, and vertical blades for divisionally blowing the blown-off air in the vertical direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
