PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processed artcle of an arc-extinguishing resin excellent in arc-extinguishing properties, heat resistance, pressure resistance, and moldability, and to provide a circuit breaker using the same. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a circuit breaker provided with a fixed contact piece having a fixed contact, a movable contact piece having a movable contact coming into contact with the fixed contact piece and performing an open/close action on the fixed contact, and an arc-extinguishing device which extinguishes an arc generated at the open/close action between the fixed contact piece and the movable contact piece, wherein the arc-extinguishing device used is an arc-extinguishing resin processed article prepared by molding a resin composition containing a polyolefin resin (A) part of the hydrogen atoms of whose methylene chain are substituted with hydroxyl groups and which contains 0.2-0.7 mol of hydroxyl groups per mol of the methylene groups, an unsaturated-group-terminated crosslinking agent (B), and a metal hydroxide (C) surface-treated with a higher fatty acid, hydroxide (C) being contained in an amount of 5-60 pts.mass per 100 pts.mass polyolefin resin (A), and radiation-crosslinking the resulting molding.
