PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article storage/dispensing device of a vending machine, allowing efficient maintenance by allowing taking-out of only a drive device for driving a spiral member from an article storage during the maintenance. SOLUTION: The article storage/dispensing device of the vending machine has: article passages provided inside the article storage, vertically extending, and storing a plurality of commodities; ceiling plates 33, 106 provided near the upper ends of the article passages; the drive devices 28, 115 detachably installed on the upper faces of the ceiling plates 33, 106; and the spiral members vertically spirally extending, rotatably provided inside the article passages while upper ends are supported by the ceiling plates 33, 106, and each rotationally driven by a prescribed angle by the drive device 28, 115 in sales to dispense the lowermost article downward while downward moving the commodities inside the article passages.
