PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recommend an appropriate person according to a similar situation in which a user has been involved in the past. SOLUTION: A recommendation information providing apparatus has: a history information storage means 1 for storing feature data of application data in association with data identification information; a relation information storage means 2 for storing information related to the application data as relation destination information with data identification information as relation source information and storing a relation class indicating relation between a relation source and a relation destination; a similarity information decision means 3 for calculating similarity between new application data and the feature data to output data identification information corresponding to feature data of high similarity together with the similarity; and a recommendation information decision means 4 for searching the relation information storage means 1 based on the output data identification information, taking a value with similarity varied as a recommendation degree of the relation destination information based on relation between a relation class corresponding to relation destination information matching a recommendation request item and the user of an application of the relation class, and taking the relation destination information of high recommendation degree as recommendation information.
