PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display device capable of suppressing panel crack with the small number of components. SOLUTION: The video display device includes: a display panel having a front panel and a rear panel and whose outer edge is bonded by a sealing member in a state that a major surface of the front panel and a major surface of the rear panel are opposite to each other; a metal chassis 5a planarly joined to the backside of a plane bonded to the front panel in the rear panel; a case which includes the display panel and the metal chassis 5a; a rib 6 arranged on the backside of a plane joined to the rear panel of the metal chassis 5a; and an attachment member which attaches the metal chassis 5a to the case. The backside of the plane joined to the rear panel of the metal chassis 5a has: a center part 12; and an outer edge part 13 which is an area except the center part 12. The rib 6 is arranged only at the outer edge part 13, and arranged so as to cross a projection area of an inner edge 16 of the sealing member at an arranged position to the metal chassis 5a.
