PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the display quality in a liquid crystal display device by solving a trouble that a vertical streak is observed at a boundary of pixel blocks. SOLUTION: A first auxiliary horizontal switch HSW(R) is connected in parallel to a horizontal switch SW(R) between a drain line DL2(R) and a video signal line VSL(R) of a second pixel block. The first auxiliary horizontal switch HSW(R) is formed of an N-channel TFT, and a horizontal scanning signal 1 from a shift register SR1 is applied to a gate thereof through a first control switch CTR. The first control switch CTR is formed of an N-channel TFT, and ON when right scanning selection signal RF is on H level (or in right scanning). Accordingly, the first auxiliary horizontal switch HSW(R) of the second pixel block is switched simultaneously with horizontal switches SW(R), SW(G) and SW(B) of a first pixel block.
